After you have picked out a certain trend from the 1980's, you can start to pick out your decor and music. It's best to stick with one trend rather than using all of the trends from the eighties for your party theme.

Let everyone get in on the party theme by telling your guest to wear 80's style clothing -- after all that's the party theme! Tell your guest what 80's trend to wear to the party. You can simply tell the guests that any clothing from the 1980's will do just fine.

80's Table Setting Ideas


Again, depending on which 1980's theme you chose for your party will greatly dictate which table coverings and party decor you choose. For example, for the retro look you can use bright florescent colors and even checkers for your tables.

If you're going with the Madonna themed party, you can choose solid black and white table coverings. And you can get really creative with this if you want.

Here's a example of a 1980's Madonna themed party table setting idea:

White table covering with a fluorescent pink lace (Or black lace.) material draped on top.



For the centerpieces, you can use old Pepsi bottles and throw in some bright silk flowers in shades of bright pink, bright green, and bright orange. You can dye plain white silk flowers using RIT dye. You can also wrap brightly colored beaded necklaces around and pouring out of the Pepsi bottles.
